Breathwork
Surrender. Release. Transform. Reclaim.
During a breathwork session, the participant uses a deep, rhythmic breath to initiate a natural altered, dreamlike state. As the ego defenses are released, the journey unfolds in a variety of ways. The facilitator supports the breather while they are in a dream like state. When the music winds down, the facilitator gently guides the breather back from the journey.

Afterwards, the participant can journal to capture & remember the experience.Depending on the length of the session, a simple art process follows this to further embody the details of the journey. The session finishes with sharing the journey with the facilitator & other breathers. One can share as little or as much as they are comfortable with. This is done in a confidential, safe and sacred space. The process requires the facilitator’s skills & attention, as we are loving guides for the journey.

Each Breathwork journey is highly individualized. Some of the states of consciousness reported range from divine, otherworldly bliss to experiencing the struggle of releasing negative forces in the psyche. Many things maybe released during breathwork, such as feelings of grief, fear, rage and anxiety. Old patterns of dysfunction may be brought to the surface to be transmuted. Rebirthing and life review are also common occurrences. Because of the profound nature of the Breathwork Process, words can’t necessarily represent its true essence. One must experience this powerful healing process to really understand the possibilities.

I offer Shamanic Breathwork and Breathwork Metamorphosis in the Beaverton and Portland Metro areas. Both modalities utilize loud, powerful, chakra attuned music that plays throughout the journey. Breathwork Metamorphosis uses a different musical arrangement and a different energy frequency for a gentler beginning resulting in a deeply embodied experience.
